Introduction

Xin Huang  received  the  Ph.D.  degree  in  photogrammetry  and remote sensing in 2009 from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China.
He is currently a Luojia  Distinguished  Professor  of  Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, where he  teaches  remote sensing,  photogrammetry,  image  interpretation,  etc.
He is the Founder and Director of the Institute of Remote Sensing Information Processing (IRSIP), School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering, Wuhan University. He has published more than 140 peer-reviewed articles in the international journals, including NSR, RSE, ES&T, IEEE TGRS, ISPRS-J, with 6500+ Google scholar citations and 4000+ Web of Science citations. His research interests include remote sensing image processing methods and applications.
